Raku Pottery Workshop

Potter Marvin Kitshaw will be on hand in the courtyard of Kielder Castle to teach you the ancient Japanese art of Raku. Children and adults can use their imagination and decorate their very own piece of pottery. Decorating can take approximately 20 minutes. The pottery is then taken and fired in the kiln. Your 'creation' will be ready in about 1 hour. The last pick up for pottery from the kiln is 4pm

How to get there:

Raku Pottery Workshop starts at Kielder Castle Visitor Centre in Kielder which is part of Kielder. Kielder Village near Bellingham is the nearest town or village.

From South West via Newcastleton the north via Hawick or the East via Bellingham.
