Kielder Calvert
A challenging route from Kielder Village to the Calvert Trust and back, with links to the Deadwater Trail and Cross Border Trail. You can pick and choose your own combination of route and decide on Leaplish, Kielder, Calvert, Tower Knowe or Hawkhope as start or stop off points on this trail. Bear in mind that the off road link to Leaplish is steep and technical and is only to be used in that direction.
If you fancy a slightly longer ride, then why not take in the Humble Loop, accessed from the Kielder Calvert Trail or from the Calvert Trust site. This eight mile loop takes in some fascinating archaeological sites and some stunning vistas of Deadwater Fell and wider Kielder Forest.
How to get there:
Kielder Calvert can be started from Kielder Castle Forest Park Centre in Kielder which is part of Kielder. Kielder Village near Bellingham is the nearest town or village.
Kielder Castle is situated at the northern end of Kielder Water, off the C200.
