Bat Night

Kielder Castle is not only home to the Forestry Commission's recreation team at Kielder, but also to colonies of pipestrelle and brown long-eared bats, who breed and hiberate in the roof spaces. Join the wildlife rangers on an evening walk around the castle grounds to see and hear (through ultrasound detectors) these flying mammals emerge from the Castle to feed.
