The Smelters' Walk

The Smelters' Walk is a route suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, on level or gently sloping surfaced paths. Two miles long, it passes through area where iron was once smelted in the forest.

How to get there:

The Smelters' Walk can be started from Top Lodge Fineshade Wood in Fineshade Wood which is part of Rockingham Forest. Stamford (Lincolnshire) is the nearest town or village.

Top Lodge and Fineshade are signposted from the A43, between Stamford and Corby, opposite the turning for Wakerley Woods. The postcode for SatNavs and Route Finders is NN17 3BB.
