About Woodpecker Trail

This walk circles the whole forest. It uses a combination of surfaced and unsurfaced routes, so walking boots are recommended. It also shares part of its route with horse riders and cyclists.

How to get there:

Woodpecker Trail can be started from Salcey Forest Access Point in Salcey Forest. Hartwell is the nearest town or village.

Salcey Forest is between Milton Keynes and Northampton, and located immediately to the east of the small village of Hartwell.
