The Descent Line
 

A fast descent line which splits off from the red loop, joining up at the bottom of the hill with the black climb. The construction of this route has been funded by the North Yorkshire Aggregates Grant Scheme. Trail Waymarking: Red arrows on white square discs for descent, black arrows on white square discs for the climb.

How to get there:

The Descent Line can be started from Stainburn Moor Car Park in Stainburn Forest. Beckwithshaw is the nearest town or village.

Follow the B6161 south from Beckwithshaw and after abou a quarter of a mile take the first turning on the right. Follow this minor road fro about a one and a half miles. The entrance to the wood is on the laft hand side of the road.
