Lakeside Trail

The path along Staindale Lake encircles the lake providing easy access for the less able-bodied, wheelchair users and parents with pushchairs. The route is on compacted stone paths and boardwalk. The maximum gradient is 10%. Manual wheelchair users may need assistance. There are nice views of the lake, its ducks and geese and surrounding woodland.

How to get there:

Lakeside Trail can be started from Low and High Staindale in Dalby Forest. Thornton-le-Dale is the nearest town or village.

Follow Dalby Forest Drive from Dalby Forest Visitor Centre and Shop for about three and a half miles. You will arrive at Low Staindale first. High Staindale is 400 metres further on.
