The Woodcock Way
A longer forest walk taking in Staindale, Yondhead Rigg and Crosscliff - set off from High Staindale car park accessible by Moorsbus (in season). Fine views back over Dalby Forest and out over the North York Moors.
How to get there:
The Woodcock Way can be started from Low & High Staindale in Dalby Forest. Thornton-le-Dale is the nearest town or village.
Follow Dalby Forest Drive from Dalby Forest Visitor Centre and Shop for about three and a half miles. You will arrive at Low Staindale first. High Staindale is 400 metres further on.
