In the Footsteps of Heywood Sumner
Join a volunteer ranger for a walk where you step back to the time of Haywood Sumner, a renowned artist, naturalist and antiquarian. This is an opportunity to appreciate his drawings and description of the forest in the late 19th and 20th century using contemporary plans and sketches. You will be able to see how it has changed today. This walk is about 9 miles long over fairly level ground. Bring a packed lunch and refreshments.
