I love the place, been coming for years with my kids and to concerts. I now have a pass and regularly mountain bike. U will never fix the ques in peak times, we all stay as long as possible and leave at the same time...there is going to be a que! I don't think it's an issue, if u did make it easier it would cost a lot for new tech which means higher prices....5mins queing if fine xx

Visited on Good Friday 2014 with some friends for first time. Loved it and bought a Discovery Pass as we live nearby. The parking payment queues were a bit of a shock. Can't help but think a manned payment booth at the exit would be a better option. Either that or provide a few extra payment machines.

Thank you for your comments and great to hear you both enjoyed your visit to High Lodge. Buying a Discovery Pass is the best way to ensure you do not have to queue to pay for site entry and really good value for regular visitors. We are always looking for improvements to our customer service, as far as our budgets will allow.

I can only second the suggestion to review the deal with the ticket machine queues. I'm not sure whether you ever walked along that queue and saw the irritated and upset expressions on people's faces who weren't expecting such a "surprise" by the end of their visit but if you ever did you would surely consider optimising the payment process.

Thank you for your feedback and we have been very busy on site. We do manage queues when staff resource allows and you can pay site entry fees at High Lodge Information Point (HLIP), as an alternative to the ticket machines. We also sell All Day tickets which can be purchased when you arrive on site at HLIP and we do advertise this. Finally you can purchase a Discovery Pass for 55 which allows 12 months access to the site.
