Riverside Footpath (Bedburn)

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)
This walk starts from the main forest car park at the notice board and runs for nearly a mile beside the Bedburn Beck to Low Redford. It has been especially designed as an easy going trail for wheelchairs and pushchairs with a level stone surface. Look out for a glimpse of a dipper or kingfisher. The meadows, which were once the forest's own nurseries, are now classified as Special Sites of Scientific Interest for their botanical value. From Low Redford you can return by retracing your steps, or you can continue on the trail across the Forest Drive and return through a tranquil oak wood. Please note, the terrain here becomes steeper and the path surface rougher.
