Want to try something new this Autumn and keep active outdoors throughout the winter?  Why not give Nordic walking a go?

Fiona Swan, Nordic Walking UK Instructor is offering a free 45 minute taster sessions at Haldon Forest, and other locations across Devon.  The next dates for these free sessions at Haldon are 12 May at 11.45am and 30 May at 11.30am.  People need to book these sessions - find out more details at www.nordicwalkingdevon.co.uk

How to get there:

Nordic Walking starts at Various - Haldon main car park or Mamhead car park in Haldon Forest Park. Exeter is the nearest town or village.

Meet at the main car park at Haldon Forest Gateway. (Right hand side on entrance).

Travelling by car turn off the A38 at Exeter Racecourse and follow the signs for Haldon Forest Park. The Haldon Gateway Car Park is sign-posted further along the road on the left.

The Nordic Walking training course is £25. 1 hr Induction sessions £10. Regular fitness walks £5.

Various - Haldon main car park or Mamhead car park

Clothing Required:

Flexible soled shoes, such as trainers, general sports kit and waterproofs (wear walking boots if very wet). If you need to carry additional stuff a very small rucksack that sits between your shoulder blades (to allow flexibility around your shoulders) is best. Leki Nordic Walking poles are provided for all classes.
