Ridge Ride Trail

(Average user rating3 unrated 2.8/5)

Haldon Forest Park is the perfect environment for sports riders.

This is a technical, fast and flowing trail with tight corners and lively descents to test your reflexes. Only for experienced riders with appropriate bikes and protective equipment.

Please note: There will be some disruption to the Ridge Ride Trail from 1st November for three weeks, while we carry out essential maintenance work.

We hope to keep disruption to a minimum, however it will involve sections of trail being closed. Diversions will be in place which will make use of the public highway. Please adhere to all diversions and safety signage on site.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions please call the Haldon Forest Park Rangers on 01392 834251.

How to get there:

Ridge Ride Trail can be started from Haldon Gateway in Haldon Forest Park. Exeter is the nearest town or village.

Travelling by car turn off the A38 at Exeter Racecourse and follow the signs for Haldon Forest Park. The Haldon Gateway Car Park is signposted further along the road on the left.

Please don't use our postcode in your Sat Nav! It will take you to the Forestry Commission Office and not the Haldon Forest Park visitor car park. Instead, carry on past the first gateway you see ('Office entrance only' is painted on the road there) and 200 metres on you will see the main entrance.

Very good thought I really think it would be made better with some jumps like proper ones. Apart from that the only downside is the walk up the hill.

A short so so trail, Haldon bosses need to go to the Forest of Dean and see the new blue there

Pretty good trail, with nice flowing bits, but sadly these seemed few and far between. Didn't enjoy the off-camber bits too much though with the large drops to one side as one of my SPD cleats was playing up and it made me a bit nervous that I wouldn't be able to clip out if I lost it Don't let this put you off though as it's a great little course and I really need some new cleats.....
