Family Fun In The Forest
 

Join the Ranger for a series of fun activities for the whole family throughout August, including sessions for younger children.

Bushcraft - Wed 9th, Wed 13th & Fri 22nd, 10.30am - 1.00pm
Go wild in the woods on this introduction to bushcraft for 8-12 year olds. Build your own shelter, and make a campfire deep in the forest.

Mini Bushcraft - Thu 7th, 10.30am - 12.30pm
An introduction to bushcraft for 5-8 year olds. Build your own shelter, and help the Ranger make a campfire deep in the forest.

Bugs & Beasties - Fri 8th, 10.30am - 1.00pm
Have a close encounter with some fearsome predators on this mini-beast safari for 8-12 year olds. Be prepared to rumage in the undergrowth and wade through water to find to find the creatures that live in the meadow and river. Wellies essential.

Mini Bugs & Beasties - Thu 14th, 10.30am - 12.30pm
A close encounter with some fearsome predators for 5-8 year olds. Be prepared to rumage in the undergrowth and wade through water to find to find the creatures that live in the meadow and river. Wellies essential. You can also make your own bug to take home with you.

Summertime Tales - Fri 15th
Join local storyteller Trevor Lawrence around the campfire for tales of giants, pixies, and the supernatural. Bring a blanket or cushion to sit on.
10.15am - 11.30am: for children aged 5-8 years.
11.30am - 12.45pm: for children aged 8 years+.

Forest Fun - Wed 20th, 10.30am - 1.00pm
Discover the forest with a morning of fun games and crafts for children aged 8-12 years. Use natural materials to paint a picture, find out how animals use colour and camouflage, and find out how it feels to hunt for prey - or be hunted!

How to get there: From Bodmin take the A38 towards Liskeard. 400 metres beyond the Carminnow Cross roundabout follow the brown tourist signs left and then left again into Cardinham Woods.
