Horse Riding

Where can I ride in Wales?
Search by area
For information on Bridleways, please refer to the relevant 1:25000 OS map.
Please check before you visit that the area you want to come to is not closed, because of work in progress or an event taking place, by logging on to the CCW Website for current and future closures as determined by the CRoW 2000 Act. Where ever possible, Forestry Commission Wales aims to organise operations to minimise the disruption to Public Rights of Way, and will only make a formal closure/diversion application, when a CRoW closure is in operation, if there is a Health & Safety risk. Temporary closure of ROWs under Section 33 may also be necessary when some events are taking place. If you are unsure as to whether a right of way is closed, please contact you local government authority highways department before visiting. On site signage will also tell you whether rights of way are open or closed.

What's of interest
We are looking jointly with the BBNP, BHS Cymru and interested local parties at areas which could be promoted as specialist horse tourism growth areas. If you would like further information, please contact Fil Wills on 0845 604 0845.
