UK import quantities by product

Wood imports to the UK in 2012 comprised 5.2 million cubic metres of sawnwood, 2.6 million cubic metres of wood-based panels and 3.2 million cubic metres of other wood (Table 3.4). This represented an increase of 5% in the level of sawnwood imports and a 6% decrease in wood-based panel imports from the previous year.

A total of 6.1 million tonnes of paper was imported into the UK in 2012, representing an 11% decrease from the 2011 figure of 6.9 million tonnes.
