UK import quantities by product

Wood imports to the UK in 2011 comprised 4.9 million cubic metres of sawnwood, 2.8 million cubic metres of wood-based panels and 2.6 million cubic metres of other wood (Table 3.4). This represented a decrease of 14% in the level of sawnwood imports and a 5% increase in wood-based panel imports from the previous year.

A total of 6.9 million tonnes of paper was imported into the UK in 2011, representing a 5% decrease from the 2010 figure of 7.3 million tonnes.
