Horse RidingEnjoy a scenic ride through mature pine forests, birch woodlands and open heathland on our network of bridleways, forest roads and tracks.

We allow horse riding on bridleways and permissive access on forest roads (gravel, vehicle width tracks).

During weekends and school holidays,  Birches Valley can get very busy so we recommend horse boxes park in quieter surronding Car Parks.

The bridleways on Canncok Chase are being ignored and eroded by the bikes. The rangers appear to be anti horse.

The bridleways on Cannock Chase pass through land with various land ownerships and we work to maintain them. To report specific path issues please contact

Can u gv me average price for horse riding

Why are the horse riders always criticised for being on the Chase? Bikers have trails made for them and also go where the Hackers go and are encouraged to be there. Lets have some equality please.
