It lists Installers, Maintenance Providers, Appliance Retailers, Biomass Fuel Suppliers (Chip, Pellet, Log, Briquette & Charcoal), Forestry Contractors & Consultants and where to go for assistance to bring woodfuel projects online. The Biomass Energy Centre has produced three guides to help those considering using wood as a heating source. Your guidance and advice on small scale systems using logs of wood pellets see here. Activating Forest Owners Project
The Forestry Commission, along with partners from Latvia, France, Austria, Finland and Slovenia have produced '5 Good Reasons', which shows how using wood as a fuel can have a positive affect on the environment, biodiversity, rural employment, woodlands and timber quality.
Biomass Funding Guide - 2010
Humber Rural Partnership and The Forestry Commission have published a Biomass Funding Guide for Yorkshire & the Humber. The aims is to help make biomass project funding easier and clearer. It is in three sections, Funding Projects Inside the Forest & Farm Gate, Funding Projects from Gate to Boiler Door and Biomass Funding project Inside the Boiler door.
