FC/RTPI Woodfuel development guidance
The FC Tree House Education Centre on Cannock Chase (eco friendly timber building complete with wood pellet boiler) was the fitting venue for launch of this guidance at a workshop for planners and wood fuel developers on 9th November. Need for the guidance was identified as part of implementing the England Woodfuel Strategy and was developed by the Landscape Partnership on behalf of the FC and endorsed by RTPI. The guidance aims to inform planners and woodfuel developers of issues surrounding producing and supplying wood for fuel and lead to a smoother planning process and better planning applications -the guidance and presentations from the workshop are at:
