As part of the Woodland Birds Project, we are offering targeted support to landowners and managers to improve the habitat for fifteen vulnerable bird species in the Woodland Birds Project areas in Yorkshire and The Humber.

The new Woodland Birds WIG80 is now open for applications and can provide up to 80% of the cost of eligible operations. These could include: preserving dead trees to provide natural nest sites; thinning; coppicing; controlling grazing; creating glades and ride widening and other operations across South Yorkshire.
The new Reversing Woodland Bird Decline Additional Contribution for woodland creation is also available for eligible applications.
