Basing Wood Volunteer Days

Would you like to improve Basing Wood to benefit it's wildlife, trees and the local community, and get fitter at the same time?

Volunteering days offer a number of tasks for people to try; these might include activities such as;

  • tree planting
  • scrub clearance
  • coppicing
  • vegetation management and
  • specific habitat enhancement

It's a great way to exercise outdoors, meet people with similar interests and help take care of the woodland.

We can also arrange volunteering days for groups of friends, family or colleagues. Spending a day outside and doing something different really allows you discover more about people. It's a great team building event!

If you are interested in helping care for Basing Wood please get in touch at senseandmotion@forestry.gsi.gov.uk  or telephone 01962 795079
