Situated in the south of the Lake District, Grizedale is a wonderful setting for learning. It is a working forest, has natural habitats, it is a tourist destination with adventurous activities and it's an outdoor gallery, with over 60 pieces of artwork created in and for the woodland setting. The combination of all this makes it a wonderful setting for learning and the Yan, our forest learning centre, provides a perfect base from which groups can discover and explore.
Ranger-Led Learning Programmes
Our experienced team offers a wide range of programmes to suit all ages and abilities from Sculpture in the Forest, Blindfold Trail and Shelter Building to Tourism, Ecology and Forestry topics.

Independent Visits
We welcome schools wishing to lead their own independent visit. Follow one of our way-marked trails, or create your own with the help form us. Hire of The Yan is also available. Booking is essential. To book a visit, contact our Education Team.
