Sources of woodland advice
The Anglian Woodland Project is a partnership between the County Councils of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. It can provide advice to landowners on woodlands in the region.
The Chiltern Woodlands Project aims to promote and encourage the sensitive and sustainable management of Chiltern woods in order to protect the landscape of the Chilterns and maintain and enhance the biodiversity of the Chiltern Hills.
The Royal Forestry Society is a Registered Charity with over 4,000 members drawn from right across the board - woodland owners, land managers, foresters, students, keen amateurs, arborists, landscapers, timber merchants, ecologists.

The Institute of Chartered Foresters is the professional body for foresters and arboriculturists throughout the UK.
The Confederation of Forest Industries (ConFor) is the voice of the UK's forest industries. It represents almost 2,000 members from all parts of the the timber supply chain, including growers, woodland managers, suppliers, contractors, harvesters, primary and secondary processors and students.
