Ancient & Native Woodlands
An Ancient & Native Woodland Strategy for England Keepers of Time was published in June 2005. A draft set of indicators was prepared to link to the strategy.
England Biodiversity Strategy
Indicators for the England Biodiversity Strategy are updated regularly. They include indicators of woodland birds, woodland butterflies, and condition of woodland SSSIs. The baseline assessment in 2003 also included, status of woodland BAP priority species and habitats, trends in woodland plant diversity, area of ancient woodland and public enjoyment of woodland.
