Recommended for key stage 2 upwards.  


Maps of the orienteering course are available which include suggested routes of varying distances. Compasses are not supplied and compass skills are not necessary to use the course. Water resistant maps can be purchased from the High Lodge Information point at a cost of £2.00 each.

(Advance booking is essential if large numbers of maps are required. Packs are £1.50 each if pre-ordered in quantities of greater than 10. Please call 0300 067 4529.)

Groups wishing to use the orienteering course are asked to telephone 0300 067 4529 in advance, as forestry operations may prevent some parts of the course being available for public use at certain times. Objectives related to the National Curriculum
