Whatever your ability there’s something for everyone at Alice Holt. Our 3 mile cycle trail is suitable for both children and adults, offering all the family a chance to explore further into the forest. Whilst on the trail, why not take a break halfway round at one of our picnic sites or even a short detour to Lodge Pond; definitely not to be missed! This large medieval pond is a wonderful location for relaxing and the variety of bird life there, from great crested grebes, moorhens, herons and mallard ducks amongst many others, will delight bird watchers.

Cycling for All
East Hampshire Cycling for All is a project set up in partnership between the Fore
stry Commission, East Hampshire District Council and CTC - the national cyclists' organisation.
A range of specialist cycles make cycling a fun, healthy option for people who might find regular bikes unsuitable. Tricycles help with balance and confidence, tandems make cycling very sociable and hand-powered trikes enable cycling with no leg-power whatsoever. These cycles are also suitable for people returing to health who are not quite up to riding a standard bike but want to start getting active. The beautiful traffic-free environment of Alice Holt Forest is a great place for beginners to get into cycling.
To book a ride contact Quench Cycles on 01420 520355.
For more information about Cycling for All, take a look at the project website or contact Sarah on 07775 595998 or sarah.walker@ctc.org. The project is now expanding to develop satellite locations around East Hampshire where people will be able to hire cycles of all kinds, thereby making access to cycling much more widely available. Sessions are now run at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. A number of volunteers are now involved in helping to run the scheme and if you'd be interested in joining them please ring Sarah.
