Visiting Westonbirt and The Cotswolds

The South Cotswolds boasts many picturesque towns and villages, with an abundance of accommodation in the area. The historic market town of Tetbury is just three miles from Westonbirt Arboretum and the Visit Tetbury website holds information on local accommodation and events.

Camping and carvanning in the local area

The Forestry Commission’s Forest Holidays have two camping and caravan sites within the Forest of Dean. The Bracelands and Christchurch locations in Gloucestershire offer low cost accommodation options located around an hour’s drive from Westonbirt.

Arriving by bicyle?

We welcome visitors who arrive by bicycle (and offer cyclists half price admission) but ask visitors to park their bikes (behind the admissions lodge) whilst they are in the arboretum. Westonbirt Arboretum is near to some of the country’s best cycle trails, including the 100 mile Cotswold Way national trail and the 290 mile MacMillan Way.
