Dog Walking & Horse riding

Horseridder with her dog on a forest road. Why not take your best friends along to Delamere? You will be in good company as many people head to the trees to enjoy a long walk. There are beautiful places to ride through and so many sticks to fetch! Why not wend your way uphill to the top of Old pale and then stop to enjoy the view. If it is a warm day your furry friend might like a drink or take a dip in Blakemere.

If you are bringing a horse box to Delamere the best place to park is at Whitefield carpark, where it is quieter especially on weekdays and leaves you plenty of room to box/unbox your horse, from here you are already on the Delamere loop.

No one likes to see discarded dog waste bags. We are trying to encourage people to use 'stick and flick' in the forest, If your dog fouls the path in the forest please use a stick to remove the waste from the path into the undergrowth where it can break down naturally. If your Woman clearing up after her dogdog fouls near the information centre, carparks or other sensitive areas we ask you pick up the waste and use the normal waste bins provided.
