A Forestry Commission Scotland ranger-led event (Galloway District)

Events and seminars in Central Scotland

Blairadam Forest Festival, Saturday 3 December 2011
11am - 3pm

Get ready for the Christmas season with a day out at Blairadam Forest. Come along and listen to Christmas stories or get your face painted like a snowman or reindeer. Find out about the different uses of wood and try willow weaving or pole lathing before buying your Christmas Tree.

Why not try an alternative Christmas menu and make venison part of your meal? Attempt a new recipe from the venison cookery demonstration stall.

How to get there:

Blairadam Forest is in Fife. Kelty is the nearest town or village. Leave the M90 motorway at junction 4 and travel west along the B914 (signposted for Dollar/Saline). Travel 500 metres and take first right to enter Blairadam Forest. Follow road for just over half a mile to reach the Blairadam Christmas tree sales centre.
