The Bassenthwaite Ospreys are wild birds that choose each year to nest in the forest overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake in North West Cumbria.
The Lake District Osprey Project is a partnership between The Forestry Commission and Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the support of the Lake District National Park
The Project provides both an open air viewpoint and indoor exhibition with live video pictures from cameras overlooking the osprey nest . Both facilities are open for visitors from April to September annually.
