Delamere Forest is situated in Central Cheshire approximately 12km from Chester and within an hour’s drive of Manchester, Liverpool and North Wales. The forest provides valuable wildlife habitats with much needed green space and a range of recreational facilities for the communities of Cheshire, Chester, Liverpool & Manchester.

This page provides access to the Forest Design Plan for Delamere which is the Forestry Commission's core planning document. This document is being offered for consultation during winter 2011/12.

About the Plan

Delamere Forest Design Plan extends to 1088 hectares and includes Delamere Forest, Primrose Wood, Abbots Moss & Lobslack Nurseries, Thieves Wood, Hornbys Rough, Hogshead Wood,Abbey Wood, and Pettypool Wood.
