Horse riders at Blakemere, DelamereDelamere Forest comprises over 950 hectares of mixed deciduous and evergreen forest, open grassland and wetlands. It is the largest wooded area in Cheshire and lies within the Mersey Forest. Blakemere Moss is an excellent habitat for a wide variety of wildlife and is particularly popular with ornithologists. Delamere offers the complete day out for all the family, with a wide range of facilities.

Opening times: Information Centre: 10:00am until 4:00pm weekdays and 10:00am until 5:00pm weekends (closed half hour for lunch)

Facilities: Information centre, cafe, toilets, pay and display car parking, Toilets and designated parking for visitors with disabilities, railway station,  waymarked paths, 2 waymarked cycle routes, an all- ability trail with musical instruments for children, 3 picnic sites, forest classroom to hire,  education service, Christmas tree sales, Go Ape! , cycle hire, bike wash, permanent orienteering course, outdoor concerts in the summer and Christmas Trees

Getting to the forest
