Welcome to Whinlatter , England's only true mountain forest. Rising to 790 metres above sea level Whinlatter Forest offers spectacular views of the Lake District mountains and into Scotland.
The Altura and Quercus Trails put the mountain into mountain biking. Why not have a go on our Go Ape course or Whinlatter WildPlay trail, our fantastic children's adventure play trail. Or just visit for a quiet walk and a meal in Siskins cafe.
