The Forestry Commission produces statistics on a range of topics related to forestry.
Our main statistics are published annually in Forestry Statistics and summarised in Forestry Facts and Figures. Alternatively, you can use the menu on the left for further information and access to latest and archived publications and to longer time series data.
The about our statistics pages provide information on how we are complying with the UK Statistics Authority's Code of Practice for Official Statistics, statistical survey control, statistical reviews and our annual workplan.
The National Forest Inventory (NFI) is a continuous survey of woodland in Great Britain, comprising a woodland map and a field survey, conducted on a five-year cycle. More information and NFI outputs can be found on the National Forest Inventory pages.
You can access information on economic research from the Economics pages.
