A group of family friends went to see Jessie J. It was a fantastic concert for all and gave my daughter a chance to get a close up view of JJ and the band which we'd have had no chance of at any of the bigger venues.

Went to Delamere with daughter and sister to watch Kian and Boyzone, absolutely fantastic better than an arena concert. The weather was good as well which was a bonus.

Took my two daughters to see boyzone first saw them when my eldest daughter was 12 shes now 27 had a fabulous night thoroughly enjoyed it. Great setting, only negative was ridiculous prices for food.

Anonymous, 8/Nov/2014

Took my 90 year old mother-in-law to see boyzone due to the very safe venue. I must say we really did enjoy it and it was her very first concert.

Really enjoyed the Jessie J concert, the weather was amazing. The next night we didn't have a ticket but with tickets still available and us being local we went for it and had an absolutely awesome night, now recommending friends.

Had an amazing time at the Boyzone concert. The setting and atmosphere was unique and luckily so was the weather. I will definitely look out for more events in the future...hopefully Boyzone will return again too! Getting off the car park was a bit of a pain but we decided to sit in the car and wait for the traffic to pass - in future it would be better if the concerts began earlier so that its not quite so late when you eventually get off the car park, partic when you have an hours drive home. It won't deter me from returning though!

I went to watch Boyzone, it was brilliant, will be coming back next year to see who ever is on, atmosphere was fantastic, queuing was bad my Friends had been there since 6 and the queue had not moved for nearly an hour. Considering we didn't get in til 19:20 a managed to get a spot near the stage. Brilliant, well organised Thankyou

Second concert I have attended (Paloma Faith last year). Great venue and show but on both occasions the car park was dreadful. On exit at Jessie J we did not move for over an hour and it took over one and half hours to get out. There was a complete lack of organisation, marshals standing about doing nothing. I have attended similar concerts at Alton Towers, the exit from a similar car park took 10 minutes, plenty of marshals directing. I may have been unlucky in that my queue was going nowhere, that's my point about lack of organisation. I also witnessed queue jumping at the entry I attending this concert on the assumption that problems at the Paloma concert had been resolved.

Roger R, 9/Jul/2014

Thank you for your comments, glad to hear you enjoyed the gig. Unfortunately there iwll always be delays on leaving as several thousand people leave at once, and we only have one road in and out of forest. Please be assured out stewards are doing everything possible to get everyone home safely and as quickly as possible.

The organisation getting in was appalling on Sunday. Queued for over an hour to get to the security point which was a shambles.People queue jumping all the time. Surely as with other big events, security checks are done along the queue by many more staff therefore the queue is continually moving. Big let down, but as always music was fantastic and setting first class.MOL

Another great forest concert - last night was our 3rd time at delamere and each year gets better and better. Organisers obviously take note from comments made and make improvements where necessary. We had no trouble getting in to the venue at the beginning and were amazed at how quickly we got out of the car park at the end. Well organised, great atmosphere and brilliant gig. Big thank you to all involved. See you next year!

We've got to agree with the above comments- enjoyed Boyzone However queued for over an hour to get in ! But the most irritating thing was that we left the arena whilst Boyzone were still performing their last number and were at the front of the queue for taxi pick up - but the number system was a complete disaster - we were left there for more than 45 mins as everyone behind us got their taxi - despite being told by the staff that our ticket had been processed. Need reassurance that this is being looked into before I would attend a concert here again

I have been to many outdoor events in the summer. The atmosphere is always fun and people enjoy there picnics. Last night was more like a scene from the third reich. Bag searches for bottles knives and forks! Umbrellas can even cups and saucers. All the usual things you would have and have taken to other outdoor events. We were told it was government policy for the forestry commission sites. I asked the question why was it ok 10 feet away from the concert entrance and why is it ok in their campsites. Needless to say there was no answer for that. Treating people like mindless jobs for a summer picnic is seriously wrong. If you are going to insist on this nonsense at least advertise it better and have signs on the approach and in the car parks rather than in the very very long queue due to all the searching. All the rubbish from the official stores would cause far more issues than a metal fork or a cup and saucer. Get a grip!

Pathetic , 7/Jul/2014

Thanks for your comments. We prevent concert goers from taking glass, cans, breakable crockery and metal cutlery into the arena due to the adverse effects these can cause on people and wildlife if, once broken we are unable to clean up all the pieces. We do make every effort to notify customers of the terms and condititons in advance, they are on the reverse of the ticket, on the ticket wallet and on our webiste.

Excellent weekend of artists. Weller...great performance, rain stopped in time..classic mixed crowd. Jessie J...great fun, very entertaining, looked fab in bodysuit outfit!....youngsters and families. Boyzone...utter class act, clearly enjoying themselves...hard core female fans and mixed age groups of couples/families. Crowd control and organisation excellent...inevitable q's leaving car park (where doesn't after a concert?) New drop off zone caused some confusion...but much better set up! All in all...one awesome weekend. Cant wait for next year. Staff friendly and knowledgable.

Friends of the Forest, 7/Jul/2014

our 4th concert and by far the most poorly organised beforehand. We realise that queueing is inevitable and that security searches are essential, but many people walked straight to the front of the lengthy queue, incredibly irritating when we were still queueing 1 hr after gate opening time.As in previous years, we had arrived at 5.30pm. When we made it to the security point we saw that people were also coming in from a different area and that many people were making a short walk from parking their car and going straight to the security point. Also those people collecting pre-paid tickets did not queue for 1 minute, having got their tickets they too walked straight in. As always we really enjoyed the music and the beautiful setting, but the evening was definitely marred by the frustration of actually trying just to get in there.Unfortunately,it's made us think twice about whether or not to come next year.

Angela Slater, 7/Jul/2014

Thank you for your comments which we'll take into account when planning next year's concerts. At the arena gate two streams of pedestrian traffic merged from the two car parking areas, depending on the pressure on each car park at any given time this would affect how many people we coming from each area.

Terrible getting in, over an hour, from the cafe!!!! Poor drop off going in, Terrible getting out, shocking.......terrible taxi pick up point If not for the artists it would have been a desaster.....

Larry Redmond , 7/Jul/2014

Thanks for your comments. Due to ticket and bag checks there can be delays to enter the arena at the start of the evening but all customers had entered by the start of live music. WE have made some change to our taxi pick up/ drop off area which ad some initial problems. We will take your comments into account when planning next yer's events.

Our first time at Delamere Forest for a live concert (Paul Weller 4/7/14) and it did not disappoint. Great facilities, lovely atmosphere and even the rain did not hamper the enjoyment. Folding chairs & a picnic are a must. We will be back! Only fault was the long wait/queue to get out of the carpark.

We attended the Paul Weller gig on Friday 4th, which was the first time we've been to Delamere other than to walk. We thoroughly enjoyed it even though it rained and the only downsides for me were state of the toilets and some people had clearly drunk too much. That said the organisation seemed great and I understand it was the people that made the mess and drank too much....just a shame! We will definitely attend again and loved the intro from the forestry commission that explained where the money went...keep up the good work please

Forestry Commission Response

Is there anywhere to leave cars overnight, and collect the following morning??

Wendi, 3/Jul/2014

I am afraid cars cannot be left in car parks or on Forestry Commission land overnight.

Forestry Commission Response

I am thinking of using the train for the Jessie J concert. Will the concert be finished by 11pm as the train goes at 11.15? I have heard the train can be a little horrid; overcrowded with some drunks is this likely?

Karen, 3/Jul/2014

The concert will be finished, Jessie J is likely to come off stage approx 10.30pm. I expect the train will be very busy, due to the number of people attending the evening event.

Forestry Commission Response

just be aware it took us about 2 hours to get out of the carpark after last years Paloma Faith concert. There wasn't anyone directing traffic until we got to the road. Enjoyed the concert though.

mazza, 3/Jul/2014

Thank you for your feedback, just to point out there was a particular issue at the Paloma Faith event last year which caused delays above what we usually expect, so I am sorry that this affected you.
