Had an amazing time watching Paloma Faith, who was fantastic!

Such a wonderful atmosphere.

One thing that dragged it down was drunken idiots jumping out of cars to block other cars from getting out, but hey ho you win some...

Came to see paloma faith she was amazing. The venue is brilliant the only downside is lack of co-ordination in getting out of the car park took us over an hour and half to get out.

Been each year to a concert a Delamere. James was amongst the very best, great songs, very entertaining, great crowd and atmosphere. I did have my picnic rug nicked though! Once it went dark, I wonder if it was people behind who think that people shouldn't stand up and dance and enjoy themselves in case of blocking the view of people who are sitting on chairs ? Didn't spoil my night at all & lucky I live only two miles away and can walk home. Fab

Been to many Delemere for many concerts over the years and absolutely love it as a venue. We only live 20 min away in Runcorn. The concert was great , but getting home was a complete nightmare this year. We couldn't book any taxis locally to drop us off or pick us up, just had to phone on the day. When we then tried to call one to pick us up and take us home, they all refused to come. Having seen the route to the pick up area you were asking them to come to I am not surprised. A good few miles down a pitch black dirt track!!!

Please try and setup either a deal with local taxi firm to confirm pick ups or put on coaches to Frodsham. Otherwise those of us local will not be able to keep coming.

Fantastic evening, very well organised by the Forestry Commission - well done to all your staff!

James were amazing and I had the best birthday night ever!

One suggestion......put litter bins around the car parks, shameful visitors dumping their litter in your beautiful grounds

Fabulous venue as always, saw Paloma again this year, however, do not understand why people moan when concert goers decide to stand up and dance! Part of the fun of an out door gig is the freedom to stand/sit wherever you like. Saw Take That last month and printed on the tickets was a warning that people may stand up at this concert, perhaps this needs to be printed on the Forest Gigs tickets in future. The moaners didn't spoil the night.

This is the best close and personal outdoor James gig that we have ever been to . Followed James from the very start and we enjoyed every minute. The venue gave the band the feeling that they could play the songs that they wanted to play and the turnout was fantastic.. As usual had the odd idiot that over indulged and could not hold their alcohol !!!!!! ... But this happens at every gig .... We travelled 140 miles to see the band and they were as good as ever. Bring them back next year PLEASE.

Saw James last night- fabulous! The venue is brilliant and the whole set up was excellent. My only quibble is that the gates didn't open until well gone 6; but having said that the checking of bags etc was efficient & quick. Excellent night- can't wait to see next year's line up!

Gwen, 6/Jul/2015

Thanks for your comments, while we make every effort to open at 6pm all times are approximate and we are not able to open until sound checks finish and the arena is ready. I'm glad you enjoyed the gig.

Have been every year to Delamere (except the Status Quo year) and have enjoyed every single one. However I did feel this year (Paloma Faith) the organisation to actully get in was poor. We queued for over 45 minutes having got there just after 6. Although there were a number of staff checking bags the barriers seemed to finish before the desks so it was a bit of a scrum after that. Couldn't more staff be directed to check bags further down the line so quickening the time spent at the entrance. Other than that top night!

Please schedule concerts to end where you can get the train home, as last nights concert ended 15 mins after last train to Chester if I had left for that train I would have missed half of James set it would also be better for local roads and police as it would reduce congestion and potential incidents

David jones, 6/Jul/2015

Thanks for your comments, unfortuantely we were not able to start the concert earlier, however we had worked with Big Green Coach to provide alternative transport arrangements for concert-goers.

Why aren't the concerts scheduled so you can catch the last train home tonight ends 2245 last train 22:30

Dj, 5/Jul/2015

We do work with Norther Rail but they are limited as to how much they can change their timetable. We are limited in times in terms of our licence. We did arrange extra travel provision with Big Green Coach, this was advertised on our website. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and I hope youy ewnjoyed the concert.

Forestry Commission Response

Which car parks will we be able to use on the night of the 3rd for Paloma Faith

Jenny, 29/Jun/2015

All concert parking is in the fields next to the arena, please follow the signs and stewards instructions.

Forestry Commission Response

Hi there, I got my daughter and her friend tickets for Tom Odell as a Christmas gift. Is there a best place for me to drop them off and pick them up? Ticket numbers are unreserved - are chairs allowed in this area.

Jan Moz, 28/Jun/2015

Please follow the signs to the drop off/ pick up area. This ahs its own designated road into the forest. Folding chairs are allowed anywhere in the arena but not right at the front where they might present a hazard to people standing.

Forestry Commission Response

Considering the most popular gig is probably James, that you have scheduled for Sunday 5th July, it seems there is no train back to Chester after the concert finishes?? Can you clarify this? Seems like a bit of a joke when there is one at 23:26 on both the other nights??!!

Stu M, 23/Jun/2015

Last train on Sunday is the 23:09 Chester to Manchester service, this is a special service arranged by Northern Rail. They are not able to provide any other late services. An alternative is to use the coach service provided by Big Green Coach.

Forestry Commission Response

Is there a charge for the Event Car Park? I see that the main Forest car parks have charges but there's no information about charges and closing times for the Event Car Parking - useful to know in advance!

Stuart, 20/Jun/2015

Concert car parking is included in the ticket price so onthing else to pay. Concert car parks open at 4pm and close afer the event has ended and all vehicles have left.

First forest gig, what is the atire? Wellies or dressed up? Is it muddy like a festival? Any cheap hotels near by?

Tom, 29/May/2015

Dress for the outdoors - bring something warm for later in the evening and bring a waterproof as we do not permit umbrellas in the arena. Bring cash if you would like to buy food, drinks or merchandise - we aren’t able to accept credit or debit cards. Bring a fold up chair or rug if you would like to have a seat. Consider bringing a torch and/or high viz vest to wear if you are planning to walk back to your accomodation.

Can kids go mine are 7 and 8 ?

Laura , 25/May/2015

Children are welcome to attend our events but of course suitability of artist must be decided by parents/ guardians. Children aged 5 and under attend free of charge without requiring a ticket.

Forestry Commission Response

I may have spare tickets for Paloma Faith, would the site office at Delamere take them back for onward sale or would I have to look to sell them privately.

Martin, 20/May/2015

I'm afraid tickets are non-refundable, please see terms and conditions on the back of your tickets.

Got worse every year, mrs damaged her ankle on dimly lit frog march back to car park. Used to be able to park on site, was much better then. Putting fences up everywhere spoils the atmosphere of a forest gig. Not for me anymore. Magic has gone. Full of Tristrans and Porsche's pretending to like live music.

John, 17/May/2015

Thanks for your comments and sorry you haven't had a good time. All our car parking at Delamere forest concerts is now on site. Unfortunately we do need to use barriers and fences to separate cars from pedestrian walkways and to enclose the area so only people with tickets can gain access. All infrastructure is removed within a week of the concerts taking place.

The venue is good, but getting too fussy about what you can bring in. (Last year my pavlova was in the wrong type of container) Big group of us go every year to two or three of the events. Wont be going this year; line up is not our taste either. Remember this is quite expensive and people like to go and picnic and chill. The audience in Delamere is generally quite mature. There are lots of festivals for younger ones. Don't forget the grey pound.

VS, 26/Mar/2015

Glad to hear you enjoy the venue and sorry the line-up this year doesn't appeal. We welcome people bringing picnics however we have to prohibit sharp and breakable items including crockery as the arena is returned to a greenfield site and these items should they get broken could be dangerous.

Delamere - I've been 3 times - all different years and it is a fantastic venue. Such a great atmosphere and extremely well organised. Took our kids one year and they really enjoyed it - an adventure as well as a concert to them. Even if the band is not to your taste it is still a great experience.
