SilviLaser 2008 Conference: ESRI student sponsorships
 

LogoESRI kindly offered five student bursaries worth £275 each to cover the costs of conference registration and three nights accommodation at Heriot-Watt University for attendance of SilviLaser 2008.

A very strong set of applications from across the globe were received and the five ESRI Student Sponsorships were awarded to the following candidates:

    Project title: Improving forest supply chain by means of advanced laser measurements.
  • Naoko Miura

    Project title: Using LiDAR to determine landscape level biodiversity metrics.
  • Piotr Tompalski
    Faculty of Forestry, Agricultural University of Krakow Al. Mickiewicza 21, 31-103 Krakow, Poland
    Project title: Vegetation mapping of the reclamation areas using airborne laser scanning technology.
  • Udayalakshmi Vepakomma
    Institut des sciences de l'environnement Université du Québec a Montréal (UQAM) Montréal, Canada.
    Project Title: Spatiotemporal charaterisation of gap dynamics and boreal forest responses using multi-temporal lidar data.
