Mechanical scrub clearance. A close view of the new brush rake. The tines project forwards and downwards at an angle of 55 degrees to the horizontal leaving a gap of 18 inches between the back of the tines and the front of the solid blade through which soil falls. Originally there were 6 arms on top of the blade but those at each end broke in use. 15/10/1957. Blacknest, Alton, Hampshire, England.
