Phytophthora citricola. Waterlogged area around dying beech trees caused by trampling of cattle in gateway and under the shade of the trees . The three trees exhibited typical Phytophthora root disease symptoms and Phytopthora citricola was isolated from the soil . This was apparently the first Phytophthora citricola had been found associated with damage to fagus . Location: Hedenham Park , Bungay , Suffolk , England .
