DISCULA FAGICOLUM . Marginal leaf browning caused by this fungus which was fruiting even on the tiniest patches of brown tissue . This type of browning ( in contrast to leaf spotting caused by the same fungus ) is often associated with heavy leaf aphid ( Phyllaphis fagi ) infestations , but not in this instance .
