I have visted the woods for the past 15 years, they are beautiful in all seasons. My family love the escape into nature. My concerns are the signage for new visiters, the play area that has gone - all the children loved this. My shocking walk today, my very friendly lab dog got attacked by another collie dog ( second attack in a year) who was not on a lead.. The owner of that dog said MY DOG IS NOT FRIENDLY SO PUT YOUR DOG ON THE LEAD then my by dog was attacked. It would be nice if not so good dog owners put their aggressive dogs on leads. Apart from these incidents it is wonderful place to go to see wildlife and enjoy!

I am local and use the woods a lot to walk and exercise my dogs. Even as a local who has been using King's Wood for nearly 30 years I do get a bit lost when trying somewhere new in the woods. Some good, clear signage really is a must here. A few "you are here" maps with main tracks shown to exits should be put up asap at intersections. At Xmas I had to guide a family with young children back to the main car park as they were lost. It was getting dark and kids were wailing, mum was pretty tense too! The area needs to be more user-friendly without being over-commercialised. It really is a magical place at all times of the year.

Myself and my husband (an experienced walker) managed to get lost in the wonderful Kings Woods today and ended up quite some distance out of our way. We did eventually find our way back but I don't agree with the unkind assumption that people who would appreciate a small amount of accurate signeage want to be 'spoon fed'! Why have a public space that is so hard to navigate? It really does have the potential to be dangerous and I agree that something really does need to be done about it- it's very off putting!
