Rhydybenwch Picnic Site

The car park stands on the site of a farmhouse which once bore the name Rhyd y Benwch (Upper Ford). Now the Rhyd-y-benwch picnic site acts as a gateway to a number of waymarked forest walks. The picnic site is situated next to a wildflower meadow which is at its best in late July. The Source of the Severn and one of the peaks of Pumlumon (Pen Pumlumon Arwystli 741m, 2431ft) can be reached from the car park along waymarked walks. Hafren Forest will be closed from the 2nd to the 6th of December inclusive, due to Wales Rally GB.
