Dalchork
 

This is one of the biggest forests in the north, 10,000 hectares. There are beautiful views over Loch Shin. The area is home to a variety of interesting wildlife and rich in archaeological remains.

How to get there:

Lairg is the nearest town or village.
OS Grid Reference: NC 576112

From Lairg take the A836 North to Tongue. The forest stretches approximately 11 miles along this road.
