Great Glen Forest

The Great Glen forest is a patch work of conifer trees and broadleaved woodlands around both sides of the Great Glen. It's a very attractive backdrop to one of the most famous glens in Scotland. Loch Ness is here of course as well as the other lochs and rivers.

How to get there:

Inverness, Fort Augustus, Drumnadrochit, Glen Moriston, Inverfarigaig, Foyers, and Whitebridge are the nearest towns or villages.

The Great Glen forest is along both sides of the Great Glen off the A82, the B852, B862 from Inverness and Fort Augustus.

OS Grid Reference: NH 390 108
