Inverliever Forest
 

Colour rating today: turning golden turning golden
The trees along Loch Aweside are at their autumn best; a thousand colours and shades greet you from gold, copper, bronze, brown, yellow and greens. Take an Autumn drive from Ford to Dalavich through Inverliever, Scotlands oldest large public forest. Stop for a while at Kilmaha viewpoint to enjoy breathtaking views of Loch Awe, 'the jewel of Argyll' Scotlands longest loch. At Barnaline a network of forest walks and cycle trails awaits you with the forest showing the full splendor of Autumn.

How to get there:

Inverliever Forest is part of West Loch Awe. Dalavich, Taynuilt, and Ford are the nearest towns or villages.

From Lochgilphead -
A816 to 1 mile north of Kilmartin.
Follow the B840 to Ford then the unclassified road to Dalavich and Kilchrennan.
From Oban or Glasgow -
Follow the A85 to Taynuilt then the unclassified road south to Kilchrennan and Dalavich.
