Tarbert and Skipness
 

The forest stretches for 9 miles from the ancient Castle sitting above the picturesque harbour at Tarbert, over the hills to the small village of Skipness which looks out across the Kilbrannan sound to Arran.

How to get there:

Tarbert is the nearest town or village.

Follow the A83 from Glasgow north and west to the Lochgilphead and then south to Tarbert.
