About Ardray

Stop and have a picnic on the shores of Loch Awe - Ardray car park is the ideal location to spend a relaxing afternoon.

Cross the public road to join the Leacainn Forest Drive. This 12.5 mile route to Auchindrain near Loch Fyne can be travelled in about an hour, but why rush, there a picnic sites and lay-bys along the way.

How to get there:

Ardray is in Eredine which is part of East Loch Awe.
From Glasgow, follow the A82 to Tarbet then the A83 to Inveraray. From Inveraray take the A819 Oban road.
At Cladich take the Portsonachan/Eredine road. Follow the road through Portsonachan and Eredine to the Ardray car park.
From Lochgilphead, follow the A816 north to the Ford junction. Follow the B840 to Ford then take the Eredine turn-off. The Ardray carpark is on the left before you reach Eredine.
Ford is the nearest town or village.
