About Auchindrain

Parking is available in the car park of the Auchindrain museum - which is well worth a visit.

Access the Leacainn Forest Drive by crossing the A83 to join the main forest road.

This 12.5 mile route over to Loch Awe can be travelled in about an hour, but why rush, there are lay-bys and picnic sites along the way.

Alternatively take a wander through the Brenchoillie forest. A selection of roads and tracks lead off the forest drive route through the forest to open hill tops.

How to get there:

Auchindrain is in Brenchoillie which is part of East Loch Awe.
From Glasgow, follow the A82 to Tarbet then the A83 through Inveraray to Auchindrain museum.
From Lochgilphead, follow the A83 south to Auchindrain museum.
Inveraray and Furnace are the nearest towns or villages.
