Tyrebagger Wood
This mature wood has two waymarked walks, three car parks (one is only open in December), several woodland sculptures, and links to longer walks on Elrick and Brimmond Hills which also have outdoor sculptures.
The eastern side of the wood has superb mature Douglas firs, towering above the forest floor like cathedral pillars, shading a carpet of ferns and wood sorrel.
Waymarked cycle and horse routes
The paths in Tyrebagger are all waymarked as walks, so we request that cyclists and horse riders do not use these routes. Instead across the dual carriageway in Kirkhill we have waymarked horse and cycle routes.
How to get there:
Kintore, Hatton Of Fintray, Blackburn, Dyce, Bucksburn, Westhill, Kirkton Of Skene, and Aberdeen are the nearest towns or villages.
OS Grid Reference: NJ 870 040
If driving on the A96, take the B979 turn off south between Blackburn roundabout and Dyce roundabout. The East and West car parks are approx. 250m and 400m along this road on the left, and the Christmas Tree car park, which is only open in December, is opposite the entrance to the West car park.
