Dimmings Dale
 

Colour rating today: turned golden turned golden
During the Autumn the Dimmings Dale area is more magnificent than usual. The carpets of golden leaves hide a wide variety of colourful fungi while the areas birdlife are busy collecting in this years harvest. The variety of colurful trees reflecting off the magnificent lakes offer some of the best views in Staffordshire.

How to get there:

Alton is the nearest town or village.

All roads are clearly signed for Alton Towers situated just outside the Village of Alton. Dimmings Dale is situated between Alton and Alton towers, turn off the main road at the valley bottom and follow the river Churnet past the public houses and along the Red Road.
